Police: North Merrick teen overdoses on heroin

A North Merrick teenager overdosed on heroin on Thursday, May 15, around 8 p.m., according to officers from the Nassau County Police Department’s 1st Precinct.
When police responded to the home, they found the 17-year-old “unresponsive.” They administered Narcan, a drug that revives heroin users who have overdosed.
Police resuscitated the teen, who was sent to a local hospital for evaluation. Authorities did not identify the victim.
