It was quite the scene when Santa swung by Ace Hardware in Bellmore. Among those stopping off to meet and greet him were Kathy Romano with her sons, Justin, left, and Louis Jr.

Santa was whisked across the Bellmores on Friday in a shiny, red Bellmore fire truck, making stops at the North Jerusalem Road shopping center and Stop & Shop in North Bellmore and Ace Hardware and the Bellmore firehouse in Bellmore to hear children’s Christmas wish lists.
The Bellmore Chamber of Commerce and the Bellmore Fire Department annually sponsor Santa’s visit, attended by dozens of local children eager to meet Old St. Nick. After, the children are treated to a family-friendly movie at the Bellmore Movies, courtesy of the theater’s owners, Anne and Henry Stampfel.
