The work of more than two dozen young artists will adorn the walls of the North Bellmore School District’s central offices, and those students were recognized for their artistic talents at the Jan. 12 board of education meeting.

The students completed their work under the leadership of art teachers Jill Emmer, Alison Hill, Amy Lopez and Jill Skelly. Artwork was on display for parents to see during the meeting and will be moved to the hallways and offices in the central administration wing at Martin Avenue Elementary School.

The recognized students were Melissa Carter, Riley Cossu, Maria Desbato, Sydney Piotrowski, Samantha Raikos and Joseph Rivera from the John Dinkelmeyer School; Neve Andrews, Andrew Graf, Angelina Hassell and Stella Proios from Martin Avenue School; Joshua Alland, Allen Esterbrook, Dasha Grachova, Kaylee Lachky and David Ni from Newbridge Road School; Taylor Buck, Emily Flynn, Erin Gallagher, Grace Glynn, Beverly Kleinman and Emerson Urtheil from Park Avenue School; and Lily Boehm, Kate Didden, Sahara Partap and Alanna Walters from Saw Mill Road School. All students received certificates of recognition signed by their art teacher and Superintendent Marie Testa.
