It might have been raining this past weekend, but residents headed to the North Bellmore Library to lighten their moods. Those who showed up were treated to a great show by The Dick Smolens Swingtet.
Attendees tapped their feet to favorites from the 1920s to the ’40s. The Swingtet delighted with songs by Fats Waller, the Gershwins, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and more. Indeed, a great time was had by all.
