The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce held its 10th annual Culinary Delights festival at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park on Sept. 24.

Hundreds of people in the neighborhood headed out on the cool, fall evening to sample the many bites served up by nearby restaurant and bakery owners.

The fundraiser, which typically garners about $30,000, benefits numerous community organizations. This year donations will be provided to Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America, East Meadow PTA Council, New York District Kiwanis Foundation Kamp Kiwanis, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Nassau University Medical Center and the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department Columbia Association.

In addition to food and drink samplings, gift baskets were also raffled off.

The delicious evening was a success thanks to dedicated chamber members including Walter Skinner, past chamber president and chairman of the Culinary Delights event.
