Remembering 9/11

A tribute to the fallen

East Meadow, Salisbury 9/11 victims remembered

Posted

Eight years have passed since that dark moment in our nation’s history. The observance of September 11 continues to be a time for remembrance, healing and solace, and hope for the future. The Herald hopes this photo page of victims killed in the terrorists attack and who had some connection to East Meadow or Salisbury — some were born and grew up there, lived there as an adult or served in its fire department — will be remembered.

A street was recently rededicated in honor of Daniel Brethel, an East Meadow firefighter who perished during the events of 9/11. Click here for the story.
