Adult reading program to return

Posted

The East Meadow Public Library’s third annual Adult Summer Reading Club is set to kick off on June 5. Nassau County library cardholders 21 and older are eligible to join, and will have the opportunity to attend book events and enjoy a party at the conclusion of the program.

Club members read books of their own choosing. Audio books and eBooks qualify, but magazines and children’s books do not. Patrons who join the program and submit at least one review will be invited to the “End of Summer Wish it Were Longer Party.”

Signup is available at the library’s reference desk. Questions can be directed to the Reader Services Department, either at the library, via email at mblackman@eastmeadowinfo.com, or by phone at (516) 794-2570 ext. 236.

The kickoff event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 5.
