East Meadow Fire Department responds to overturn crash

The East Meadow Fire Department responded to an overturned vehicle earlier this month, a the intersection of Merrick Avenue and Glen Curtiss Boulevard in East Meadow.

Radios alerted the department’s Engine 1, Heavy Rescue 6, Rescue 5 and Emergency Medical Services squad, who went to the scene of the accident.

East Meadow volunteers transported two of the vehicle occupants to the Nassau University Medical Center and the Nassau County Police Ambulance Bureau transported one patient.

All injuries sustained were non-life threatening.

Fire department units were under the command of East Meadow Chief of Department Phillip Fertitta.
