Posted

On June 1, the East Meadow School District held its annual Young Artists Exhibition at the Leon J. Campo Center.

The exhibit featured artwork from students in first through 12th grade, representing all schools in the district. Among some of the featured artwork were photography, papier-mâché, pencil drawings, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, ceramic/clay sculpture, architecture, cabinet making, batik, knitting, and multimedia stop-motion film.

East Meadow High School’s Saxophone Quartet, Clarke High School’s Flute Choir, and Clarke Middle School’s Sixth-Grade Flute Trio provided musical entertainment throughout the event.

The district expressed its thanks to the tireless efforts of Abby Behr, Director of Music and Art, and Heather Anastasio, Art Chairperson, for another successful exhibition.
