East Meadow soccer tryouts

The East Meadow Soccer Club hosts an open selection and evaluation process for interested players. Registration for the tryouts is required. Visit www.eastmeadowsoccer.com

Evaluations are conducted for each of the following programs: 



EMSC Elite Team Program > U10 - U18 = 1st Teams


The Elite teams participate in LIJSL, ENY President’s League, Region 1 Northeast Region League, and the Region 1 Premier League. 


The Elite U14-U18 Girls teams compete in the Elite Clubs National League. 


Our Elite teams compete in the ENY State Cup, Region 1 Regional Tournament and National competitions. The U10-U13 teams also compete in the LIJSL Long Island Cup. 


The Elite teams at U12 and U13 travel to Elite level tournaments on the East Coast, primarily but not limited to, the NE region. 


The Elite teams at U14 – U18 travel to Elite level tournaments primarily on the East Coast and periodically travel to national level tournaments throughout the country. 
EMSC Classic Team Program > U10 – U18 = 2nd, 3rd and 4th Teams 


The Classic teams participate in LIJSL, ENY President’s League, the ENY State Cup, and the LIJSL Long Island Cup.

The Classic teams participate in local mid-level tournaments primarily on Long Island and occasionally will travel to a tournament in the Northeast region. These teams will also occasionally, with club permission, travel outside the Northeast for events. 
Any player can designate which team they are trying out for prior to or during the tryout process. All players in every age group are evaluated over the course of three sessions. On occasion, coaches may hold a fourth callback session. Upon the conclusion of the selection process, players receive an invitation to join the club that includes a specific team assignment for the coming year. 


Although EMSC makes every effort to place players on teams, sometimes this is not possible due to roster limitations and player numbers. In such circumstances, EMSC is committed to being a resource for any player looking for a team. 



There are no tryouts for the U7, U8, and U9 Developmental Academy Programs, and there is an open evaluation process for the U9 Academy Travel Program. To join these programs, players need to register online. 



Tryout Dates: June 1 – June 12
• The First & Second Tryout Sessions per age group will occur on one of the dates above. 
June 9 – June 16
• A Third Session per age group, an Individual Team Session will occur on one of the dates above. 
• Rain Dates and Call Backs may also occur in this time frame and into the week of June 20 if necessary. Each player wishing to be considered must leave all tryout dates open to be considered. 


Every player whether a current member or not must register online prior to tryouts. No exceptions. There is no fee for trying out but every player intending to tryout for an EMSC team must register online.
