EMHS student volunteers at Children’s Museum

East Meadow native Melissa Gross was chosen to participate in the Green Teens program at the Long Island Children’s Museum this summer. The East Meadow High School student participated in the program last year and joined up with the facility again for the eight-week volunteer opportunity.

The Green Teen program invites local students to develop and teach interactive nature and environmental education programs for museum visitors. The program, which is funded by a grant from the National Grid, combines meaningful community service and a learning experience.
