Four suspects arrested in phone-store heists

Four men were arrested on Tuesday in East Meadow for a pattern of cell-phone store burglaries in Nassau County from November 2010 to this January. The stores hit were the AT & T at 154 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead; AT & T at 1000 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa; AT & T at 316 Rockaway Turnpike, Cedarhurst; T-Mobile at 1073 Northern Boulevard, Flower Hill; and Verizon at 49 Old Country Road in Westbury.

Police say the men broke into the stores and stole assorted cell phones and iPads.

They are identified as Valon Vailes, 19, of 590 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead; Charles Siebert 18, of 29 N. Columbus Avenue, Freeport; Kareem Edney 19, of 103 Rutland Road, Freeport; and Trevon Thompson 18, of 64 Hillside Avenue, Freeport.
