Local Girl Scout troops gathered at Woodland Middle School on May 30 to receive their Bronze Award, the highest honor that junior Girl Scouts can receive.
Scouts from troops 1061, 1152, 3182 and 3363 each performed various community service projects to earn their Bronze Award, and the girls were rewarded at a ceremony by their troop leaders, local elected officials and representatives from the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.
It was a festive evening for the young advocates, who will now pursue the next steps in their Girl Scout careers.
