The unforgettable music of Rodgers and Hammerstein can be heard on the Hofstra University stage at “A Grand Night for Singing,” Aug. 19-28, Fridays and Saturdays, at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m.

This delightful Tony Award-nominated musical revue showcases the unforgettable music of Richard Rodgers and the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II. Hear songs from several lesser-known works such as Allegro, Me and Juliet, State Fair, and Pipe Dream, as well as selections from “Flower Drum Song, Carousel, Oklahoma!, The King and I, South Pacific, Cinderella and The Sound of Music. It’s an evening of Broadway magic that celebrates some of the best of musical theater.
