Kiwanis helps neighbors in need

The East Meadow Kiwanis Club hosted a holiday food drive for one of a neighboring community’s churches this weekend.

Volunteers from the organization said they wanted to help replenish the food pantry at Saint Martha’s Catholic Parish, at 564 Greegrove Ave. in Uniondale, for the holiday season. To do so, they collected nonperishable food items on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Shop Rite, which is also in Uniondale.
