Learning about dinosaurs in East Meadow schools

Posted

Dinosaur fossils filled the gymnasium at Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow during the school’s Dinosaurs Rock assembly on Jan. 12.

Dinosaurs Rock member Bradley Chernoff held a presentation in which he shared a collection of fossils, bones and eggs of prehistoric animals. For more than 20 years, Dinosaurs Rock has brought museum-like exhibits to schools throughout the tri-state area.

The students held dinosaur eggs, viewed dinosaur heads and compared their body size to the leg bone of a dinosaur.
