Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R,C,I-East Meadow) spoke with more than 150 children at the Barnum Woods Elementary school recently regarding the functions of government and how a bill becomes a law. The students were given an opportunity to ask their assemblyman questions and engage in the conversation.
“As a father myself, I understand the importance of getting children involved in their community through positive and engaging methods,” McKevitt said. “I always enjoy meeting the students of our local schools and teaching them about how our state government works.”
