Accident happened on Hempstead Turnpike

A two-car collision on Hempstead Turnpike last Saturday afternoon left one person hospitalized with a head injury, according to the East Meadow Fire Department.
The accident, on the eastbound side between Park Boulevard and Carman Avenue, received a response from the EMFD’s Ambulance 615, Heavy Rescue 616 and Engine 611.
The other driver refused treatment at the scene, said EMFD spokesman John O’Brien, who added that the hospitalized driver was in good condition upon transport.
