Police to beef up DWI patrols

Posted

Nassau County Police Commissioner Lawrence W. Mulvey has announced that on Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, additional DWI patrols will aggressively seek out alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers on the county’s roadways. The Police Department’s Highway Patrol Bureau will coordinate the enforcement patrols in all of the county’s eight police precincts.

This holiday weekend, Mulvey said, in addition to the usual compliment of police officers patrolling and looking for DWI violators, Nassau County will have additional officers on patrol, utilizing funds from the New York State STOP-DWI grant.
