Preparing for Easter at Cipriano Nursery

Posted

Although a light dusting of snow would blanket the shop and community during the chilly first weekend of spring, scores of East Meadow families gathered at a local flower shop for an Easter egg hunt on Saturday.

Continuing its longstanding holiday tradition, Cipriano Nursery and Florist — on 1660 Front St. — held the holiday event on March 19. Kids celebrated Easter early by collecting colorful plastic eggs, which were scattered throughout the vast greenery.

Bundled in winter coats, families posed for photos with the Easter Bunny before the hunt began at 11 a.m. Children raced throughout the garden, searching for the prize-winning golden eggs.

Reina Whidehall, Dakota Eira and Emily Barneell found the special eggs. The Easter Bunny and Ciprianos staff congratulated the trio of youngsters and all of the participants.
