The Parish of St. Raphael’s Boy Scouts Troop 362 celebrated its 50th anniversary on Jan. 7 with Eagle Scouts and committee members.

Members of the Boy Scouts Troop 362 celebrated the group’s 50th year on a high note, dancing along to the music at The Carltun on the Park in Eisenhower Park.
Lee and Roselyn Fakils joined the Boy Scouts Troop 362 in its celebration by dancing the evening away.
Despite the winter snowstorm that dropped up to nine inches in some areas of Nassau County on Jan. 7, members and supporters of the Parish of St. Raphael’s Boy Scouts Troop 362 dressed to the nines to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary.
The troop held its gala at The Carltun on the Park in Eisenhower Park after a day filled with celebratory activities to commemorate the group’s milestone. Troop 362 was established in 1967 and has become a part of the East Meadow community since, with members often participating in fundraisers and charity work around town. The troop now has more than 60 members and meets on Tuesdays at McVey Elementary School.
