St. Anthony's senior finishes as runner-up at state meet

East Meadow resident Jonathan Guarino, a senior at St. Anthony’s High School, was runner-up at 160 pounds in the CHSAA state wrestling championships last month. He won three of four matches the weekend of Feb. 12-13, giving him a record of 21-8 on the season.

East Meadow resident Jonathan Guarino, a senior at St. Anthony’s High School, was runner-up at 160 pounds in the CHSAA state wrestling championships last month. He won three of four matches the weekend of Feb. 12-13, giving him a record of 21-8 on the season. A captain and four-year wrestler for the Friars, Guarino also placed in the Empire State Games last summer and captured the Amityville Tournament title this winter.
