Suspect sought in Carman Avenue store robbery

Nassau police seek a man who robbed a Carman Avenue shop on Saturday morning.

According to detectives, a female victim, 51, was approached inside her place of business by an unknown male subject at about 7:10 a.m.

The subject then demanded that money from the cash register be handed over, police said and then fled the scene in a blue vehicle last seen headed towards Land Lane. Stolen proceeds were $700 and there here were no injuries and no weapons observed, police said.

Police describe the subject as in his twenties, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red and white stripe and a cream colored skull cap with a black insignia. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to
