Posted

Police have arrested three Brooklyn men in connection with a robbery at a gas station in East Meadow on May 10.

According to detectives, a 43-year-old male employee of Mobil On The Run on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow went outside the store when he heard his vehicle's alarm ringing. When he went to investigate, police said, he was confronted by Troy Motayne, 33 — who threatened that he had a gun — and Marvin Gay, 32 — who removed bags containing cash receipts inside the victim's vehicle. Detectives said both defendants fled northbound on Newbridge Road in a gray Cadillac operated by Ainsley Reynolds, 33, with an unknown amount of cash.

After an investigation by Third Squad Detectives, all three defendants were arrested in June, and charged with Robbery 1st degree and 2nd degree. Motayne, who was arrested on June 6 and arraigned on June 7, gave detectives a driver's license in someone else's name, police said. Police said he was additionally charged with criminal possession on a weapon 3rd Degree and false personation. Police arrested Reynolds on June 9 and Gay on June 29  — both were arraigned the day after their arrests, police said.
