Two injured during home robbery on Woods Avenue

Two victims are injured after a residential robbery in East Meadow on Tuesday morning.

According to detectives, four to six males, allegedly armed with handguns, entered an unlocked home on Woods Avenue and demanded money. Two male victims suffered head and facial fractures when they were hit with guns the subjects were carrying, said police. The men are being treated at a local hospital.

The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and a laptop in a dark-colored vehicle heading east, said police. They are described as blacks and Hispanics in their late teens and early twenties and were allegedly wearing masks or shirts covering their faces, police said.

There were six males and females, ages 18 to 65, inside the home at the time of the robbery.
