Patients and their friends, family members and other supporters recently walked together to raise awareness in the fight against Sjogren's Syndrome, a disease that affects about four million people nationally.
Lynn-Anne Spitzer, an East Meadow resident and a patient, volunteers for the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation and a local coordinator who helped organized the fourth annual Walkabout at Roosevelt Field on March 20.
A story on Spitzer ran in a February edition of the Herald, where you can find here. Also, for more information on Sjogren's, visit the foundation Web site at www.sjogrens.org.
