2-0-1-4, what is it that you have in store?
At some point, predictions become academic. In our own lives, we can’t know if a rare bug or a runaway bus will get us. We have no idea how we’ll fare at work or with our investments or in our relationships. It is fun to think about what may happen and what we wish could happen, but all that’s left to us at the end of the day is to cherish the moment. Or, perhaps, stick some sparrow feathers in a mushroom cap and sprinkle with hair of newt.
We can only live the minutes and hours and days of our lives as they come. It’s not Yiddish, but que sera, sera.
