Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD) will be hosting a jobs fair and resume drafting seminar for young adults in the community on June 21 at Molloy College from noon to 4 p.m. Co-hosting with Curran will be Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony Santino.

“The young adults in our community are entering the work force at a time when jobs are scarce. Councilman Santino and I are proud to partner together and bring another jobs fair to Molloy College,” said Assemblyman Brian Curran. “Last year was a great success and we were able to introduce many deserving residents to new careers. The outpouring of support from local businesses to help find opportunities for children graduating from high school and college is a testament to the commitment they have to growing and strengthening our community.”

More than 80 businesses and colleges will be in attendance, including the United States Postal Service, the Long Island Rail Road, Robert Half International, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Cablevision, Winthrop University Hospital, Veolia Transportation, Verizon, New York Community Bank, TD Bank and many more.

“I’m happy to have partnered with Assemblyman Brian Curran to put on this career fair, especially for our younger residents, many just out of college and still looking for work, and those continuing to struggle finding employment in today’s challenging economy,” said Santino. “Too many neighbors are unemployed or underemployed. I’m glad that I was able to spearhead this project with Assemblyman Curran to bring job seekers and employers together in one place locally. I know there are many, many qualified candidates and look forward to hearing success stories from this Jobs Fair soon after it happens.”
