Irene Villacci appointed president of NYS Women’s Bar Association

East Rockaway resident Irene V. Villacci, Esq. was installed as President-Elect of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) at WBASNY’s Annual Convention on June 8 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Villacci has served as a Vice President of WBASNY for the past two years, and previously as Corresponding Secretary. A long time member of the Women’s Bar Association, she is a Past President of the Nassau County Women’s Bar, a chapter of WBASNY.

Villacci has maintained her law offices in Rockville Centre since 2007, concentrating in the area of Elder Law, Wills, Trusts, and Estates, Estate Planning, Guardianships, and Real Estate. Raised in Lynbrook, she has lived in East Rockaway since 2000, and served as Village Trustee from 2005 to 2011. She is a lifetime parishioner of St. Raymond’s Church, and is a graduate of their parish school, as well as Sacred Heart Academy, Molloy College, and Hofstra University School of Law.

WBASNY has more than 3800 members in all legal fields who are committed to the association’s mission of the promotion of justice for women in the legal profession and for women, children and families in society, support of the fair administration of justice, and to act as a unified voice for its members on issues of statewide, national and international significance to women generally and to women attorneys in particular. WBASNY also holds United Nations NGO status in association with the UN Economic and Social Council.
