The East Rockaway Schools Enterprise classes took a field trip to the Dolan DNA Learning Center in Cold Spring Harbor on Nov. 18.
The students participated in a hands-on lab where they extracted actual DNA from bacteria. They also worked in a computer lab, where they used forensic science techniques to solve the mystery of the missing Princess Anastasia Romanov. The students had a great time and were actively engaged in advanced scientific inquiry.
