It was a hot and sweltering day on June 23 when East Rockaway High School juniors and seniors attended the 2nd annual Pre-prom party, hosted by the Village of East Rockaway at its waterfront gazebo, and planned by East Rockaway High School.
The prom-goers, all dressed in their colorful best, drank a lot of bottled water and ate appetizers provided by The Fishery. Village, Town and school officials attended and posed for photos with the students.
At 6 p.m., air-conditioned prom buses and limos pulled up, and the students happily waved goodbye as the drove off to their prom.
