Arrests
At 12:08 a.m. on April 8, a 51-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to obey traffic control device, insufficient brake lights and circumvention of interlock device on Sunrise Highway.
On April 9 at 11:26 p.m., Kevin Ramirez, 20, of Garden City Park was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

Petit larceny

At 4:55 p.m. on April 2, the manager of Rite Aid located at 400 Sunrise Hwy., reported that two males entered the store and started to remove merchandise from the shelves and place it inside their jackets. One of the males, when stopped by the manager, dropped all of his items and left the store in an unknown direction. The second male also left the store in an unknown direction, taking $322.89 worth of merchandise from the store. The subjects were described as black males, dark skinned, wearing dark-colored hoodies.

Lost property

At 2:25 p.m. on April 3 a complainant reported that their New York State boat registration plate was lost in the vicinity of 196 Merrick Rd.
 On April 3 at 2:55 p.m., a complainant reported that their New York State handicapped parking permit was lost in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Horton Avenue.

Attempted identity theft

At 11 a.m. on April 5, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) filed a tax return with the IRS and New York State in their name attempting to receive their tax refund.

Identity theft

On March 29 at 11 a.m., a resident of Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway reported being the victim of identity theft when an unknown person(s) made multiple fraudulent transactions to their debit card.
