Edward Weston: Life Work
The exhibit surveys the 50-year career of a giant of 20th-century photography. The photographs of Edward Weston (1886-1958) capture the rhythms, patterns, and interconnections between nature and human experience. Weston’s photographs are renowned for their sensuous print quality and for the rich black and white scale the photographer achieved during printing. Through July 24. 1930: Art in America
Drawing upon works from the Hofstra University Museum collection and loans from varied collections, this original exhibit provides a “snapshot” of the visual arts in America during the 1930s, in celebration of Hofstra’s 75th anniversary. Pictures Of Resistance: The Wartime Photographs of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman
This remarkable exhibit is presented by the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation.
