Great Expo in Lynbrook

Annual event attracts crowds to Greis Park

The weather held up nicely for the annual Lynbrook expo, offering family-friendly entertainment and activities to the community at Greis Park on Saturday.

Approximately 3,000 people came out to partake in the day’s festivities, said event chairperson Carol Burak. The event that Burak, along with several other community members, spent planning for the last year had came to fruition, going off without a hitch, she noted.

There were bouncy rides and arts & crafts for children, 40-50 classic cars on display, vendors, antiques, and environmental exhibits for the community-oriented event. Also apart of the expo was the first-ever Lynbrook Music & Arts Festival, which brought out local bands like The Sunrise and Flyin’ Sideways, an art auction, and the Creative Arts Space of Kids, a nonprofit that provided arts & crafts to children, for a good cause – to raise money for the community’s struggling families.
