The joyous sounds of the holiday season abound. Whether it’s a perennial favorite, or a reinterpretation of holiday classics, there’s something for everyone – even the kids.

Patricia Shih’s Big Ideas
Patricia Shih, a Huntington-based award-winning singer-songwriter, brings some musical cheer to Old Westbury Gardens’ holiday celebration, when she presents her family concert, “Big Ideas for the Holidays!,” on Friday.
Shih and her band will celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. All ages are welcome to participate. Shih performed her holiday show to sold out audiences for many years, and now after a few year’s hiatus, Shih says she hopes to bring her “music with meaning” to a new generation.

Shih aims to share positive social values through her concerts while entertaining with her high-energy songs. Audiences get to be “the star” as they sing along and dance on stage in these spirited concerts full of fun and laughter. Shih will be performing on guitar, accompanied by her husband, Stephen Fricker, on electric bass, guitars and percussion, and Jim Mansfield on drums and percussion.
Be a part of the fun, Friday Dec. 10, at 6 and 7:15 p.m. Admission is $15; registration is required. For further information, contact (631) 549-2332 or (516) 333-0048 or www.oldwestburygardens.org.
