June Conklin died on November 2, 2004. She was a long time aide and lunch monitor at the school, and according to Centre Avenue teacher Lorraine Donlon, was the school’s “Jill of all trades.”
“She did everything that needed to be done,” said Donlon. “We all miss her at Centre Avenue. We have a bench and a garden in her memory, right in the playground — where she could always be found.”
