Lynbrook firefighters challenge the Baptists

The Lynbrook Baptist Church challenged the volunteers of the Lynbrook Fire Department to a game of basketball at Lynbrook High School recently.

The friendly but lively game was a fundraiser for Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior and the school's Moms and Dads Club.  The Lynbrook Baptist Church had previously played softball games against the firefighters to benefit our wounded warriors. 

The game was a thriller, with the firefighters pulling out a win, 47 to 46 in the closing minutes. Those who attended had a chance to win a big-screen TV, a computer, and an Ipad watch. Plans are already in the works for a game next year.
