Lynbrook firefighters extinguish car fire

Lynbrook firefighters extinguished a car fire on March 5 at about 2:30 p.m. on Vincent Avenue near Peninsula Boulevard.

Engine Company One, Rescue, Hook, Ladder and Bucket Company One, and Tally-Ho Engine Company Three responded to the call. Chief Michael Brooks was the incident commander on the scene, and he was joined by First Deputy Chief John Donald and Third Deputy Chief Dan Ambrosio.

The fire was quickly extinguished after Engine Company connected a hose to a fire hydrant on Vincent Avenue. Truck Company assisted and completed the overhaul of the burned vehicle. Firefighters were on the scene for a half hour.
