On April 25 at about 7:45 p.m., Lynbrook firefighters and police officers responded to a car accident on Peninsula Boulevard near Hempstead Avenue.

In the drizzling rain, Lynbrook Fire Chief Nicholas Pearsall arrived on the scene to find three vehicles involved in the accident and that multiple people were injured.

The chief immediately broadcast the incident, which brought additional responses by Nassau County Police EMS, the LFD’s Emergency Medical Company ambulances and ambulances from North Shore Hospital.

Paramedics and firefighters removed six occupants of the wrecked vehicles. All were transported to local hospitals. Two of the injured were in trauma and two were children.
