East Rockaway and Lynbrook each hosted fun-filled Halloween events last weekend — and what a frighteningly good time everyone had!
East Rockaway hosts Halloween fun
In East Rockaway, the village hosted its 1st annual Halloween Parade on October 29, which, due to the unprecedented inclement weather, was held in the Senior Center adjacent to Memorial Park. The weather, however, didn’t put a damper on the fun.
With The Dance Space putting on a show and MC-ing the events, which were coordintated by the Recreation Department, children won prizes, created and colored, and, with their parents, and even entered a “Mummy Relay Race,” wrapped in toilet paper!
Halloween Havoc in Lynbrook
On Sunday, ghouls and boys took advantage of the suddenly sunny weather and came to Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook for some spooky fun, hosted by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce.
Rides, games, food and festivities kept the costumed kiddies — and adults — busy for the entire afternoon. The day included an obstacle course, a magician, a bouny house, slide, a D.j., candy apples, popcorn, trick or treats, pumpkin and cookie decorating — and a scarily fun Spooky Walk.
