The Centre Ave PTA sponsored an assembly featuring the Remax hot air balloon. The entire school body assembled on the field as the balloon was inflated.

The students at Centre Avenue Elementary School in East Rockaway had a visit from Remax, who brought a large, inflatable hot air balloon.
They were shown how they inflate the balloon, first using a large fan, and then using flames to inflate it.
Two students got a chance to stand in the basket. The students were then shown a slide show about the history of ballooning, and how balloons are made into various shapes — castle, dinorsaur, etc. They learned that there is no way to steer the balloon. Where ever the wind takes them, that is where they land.
