Could have fallen from building, officials say

Police are investigating a death that occurred outside of 303 Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

Lynbrook police report that a 26-year-old male was found dead at 303 Merrick Road in Lynbrook around noon today.

The victim most likely fell off the building’s roof, according to Deputy Mayor Alan Beach who was passing by the scene when police arrived. Police could not confirm the cause of death, but said it looks like an accident at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing.
