Christiano Marcello, Fenol LaRock and Antonio Marcello aim to bring the Elmont community together throughout the year with events like basketball tournaments, a back-to-school drive, Thanksgiving dinner, and a Christmas celebration. Their aspiration is to build a community center in Elmont for the community to have a place to gather recreationally. And those efforts have made them the Franklin Square/Elmont Herald Persons of the Year.

Belmont Park is currently undergoing renovations scheduled to be completed in 2026. The 2024 Belmont Stakes will be run at Saratoga Race Course, and the New York Racing Association said the 2025 Belmont Stakes will also likely be run at Saratoga Race Course.
