The First Church of God in Elmont, led by Rev. Moni Mathew, sponsored a “Back To School Giveaway Bash” on Sept. 10, where 50 bags of school supplies were donated to nearly 21 local families. The event also included a bounce house, dunk tank, cotton candy, face painting, a raffle and a drama presentation.
Many local businesses supplied donations, including the Astoria Federal Savings Bank, the Bethpage Federal Credit Union, The Shop and Salon 560.
