Going to the second round in the Profile in Courage Awards were, Mia Ciulla, Anika Aftab, and Samara Khan.

H. Frank Carey High School Carey seniors Anika Aftab, Mia Ciulla and Samara Khan advanced to the second round of the 2015 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest. Of the 1,913 essays submitted in the competition, only 175 advanced to the second round.
