Elmont dads take lead on feeding those in need

The Elmont Dads’ Club/Student Council Food Drive ended on Nov. 18, and on Nov. 19, Gotham Avenue students helped box up food in the Gotham Avenue gym, along with Dads’ Club and Student Council members. More than 100 boxes of food were collected and distributed to families in need in Elmont.

Students decorated boxes, and fathers sorted out boxed and canned foods for distribution. Newly elected Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D-Elmont) helped collect cans and donated $200 to the Dad’s Club.
