Home intruder discovered by resident on Rintin Street

A 62-year old Franklin Square resident returned to his home on Rintin Street on Aug. 20 at 1:20 p.m., and discovered a male intruder inside, according to Nassau County police. The homeowner confronted the suspect on the second floor of his home, at which point the intruder ran out the front door, police said.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s with a thin build, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet 1, balding with brown hair, who was wearing a tan shirt, gray shorts and sandals. The victim reported that jewelry was missing, according to police.

Other residents of the neighborhood reported seeing a man of a similar description lurking in residents’ back yards. NCPD detectives ask anyone with information about the incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
