Police seek help identifying man in alleged Franklin Square robbery

An unidentified man allegedly robbed a BP Gas Station at gunpoint on 740 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square Wednesday night.

According to Nassau police, the man approached the store clerk standing behind the counter and pointed a black firearm at the clerk, demanding money from the cash register at 8:37 p.m. yesterday. The clerk complied and the unidentified man took an undisclosed amount of money and went north on Goldenrod Street. No injuries were reported.

Police say the man was black and wore a black and gray flannel jacket, dark color pants, a ski mask and gloves.
