Light Rain 3,000 facemasks distributed in Lawrence

Vehicles were lined up around Mott and Lawrence avenues as free facemasks donated by the Mad Men Barbershop in Wantagh owned by the Dennehy family were distributed in packs of 10 to 300 motorists outside the Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence on May 7.
There was no need to get out of the cars as volunteers including State Sen. Todd Kaminsky, a Democrat who represents the Five Towns, provided curbside pickup and handed the facemask packages to the drivers to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
