Five Towners encouraged to drive safely

Posted

The Village of Cedarhurst is strongly encouraging motorists to to drive safely and use extra caution on the wet and slippery roads; as all roads that have standing water or slush have become or are becoming icy and creating hazardous travel conditions.

Village plows have salted the roads and continued doing so throughout Monday evening. To help keep the roads safe, Cedarhurst officials are asking all residents to park all vehicles in the driveway.

Having clear streets is essential to maintaining safe and efficient passage for police, ambulances, fire engines and all emergency personnel and vehicles.

If you have a non-emergency problem, contact the Village at (516) 295-5770 and they will make every effort to assist residents. For emergencies call 911.
